Ever wanted to try wheel throwing? You know those videos where someone makes a perfect little cup out of a lump of clay?
Come see what happens when you try it yourself!
Join us at Mitt Studio for a relaxed morning of getting your hands muddy and learning the basics of wheel throwing. We’ll start with the basics — centering the clay, opening it up, and slowly shaping it into your own cup or bowl.
Once you get into the rhythm, it gets calming. Just you, your hands, the spinning wheel, and a lump of clay slowly taking shape. At the end of the throwing session, you get to choose your best 2 pieces to keep. We’ll take care of trimming, glazing and firing.
Your finished pieces will be ready to pick up in 2 weeks. A little reminder of your time in Chiang Mai, made by you!
We also provide shipping services: 100 baht for Thailand, and worldwide shipping varies in case you are not here to pick up.
So come with friends, bring your date, join with family, or just come on your own. No experience needed.

**Because throwing requires a bit more physical strength and coordination to center the spinning clay, this workshop is perfect for makers ages 7 and older!
For our younger artists, we recommend our hand-building workshop for a joyful, fully hands-on way to explore clay, build fine motor skills, and create amazing shapes at a gentle, supportive pace.
